If you are not where you want to be, it means you are making or have made the wrong choices. You are exactly where you decide to be.


Having a life partner who doesn’t ascribe to your life’s ideals and philosophies is like towing a trailer full of wet manure.


Watch TV channels with educational value : History, Discovery, Science, Military, and National Geographic.


Make life your university. Here are some strategies :

  1. Driving University. Listen to audiobooks while stuck in traffic.

  2. Exercise University. Listen to podcasts while on the treadmill.

  3. Waiting University. Bring something to read when you are in a queue, on an aeroplane, sitting in a waiting room.

  4. Toilet University. Never throne without reading something educational.


The Law of Effection says to make millions you must impact millions.


STOP CHASING MONEY - CHASE NEEDS

To succeed as a producer, surrender your own selfishness to money and address the selfishness of money.

When thinking of inventing a product. Think : How will it help them? What’s in it for them? Will it solve their problem? Make their life easier? Save them money? Educate them? Make them feel good? You need to add value to their lives!!!


Money isn’t attracted to selfish people. It is attracted to businesses that solve problems.


YOU NEED TO MAKE 1 MILLION PEOPLE ACHIEVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Make them feel better.

  2. Help them solve a problem.

  3. Educate them.

  4. Make them look better (health, nutrition, clothing, makeup)

  5. Give them security (housing, safety, health)

  6. Raise a positive emotion (love, happiness, laughter, self-confidence)

  7. Satisfy appetites, from basic (food) to the risque (sexual)

  8. Make their lives easier.

  9. Enhance their dreams and give them hope.


To start, think about what you love and then think, will someone pay for it? Is it going to solve a need?


“I WANT A BIG MANSION WITH LOTS OF BEER AND TITTIES”


You need to work very hard for the next four years and then you will never need to work again.


You must be the creator of the company that people are dying to join.

If you don’t control your system, your money tree, and your brand, you control nothing.


The Commandment of Scale:

  1. Can the net income of this business scale limitlessly. e.g. from $2000 a month to $20000

  2. Can the asset value of this business scale into the millions?

  3. Can this business impact millions? Is its customer pool the whole world?

  4. Can this business be replicated/expanded/franchised beyond your local area?

  5. How many units can you sell? One hundred or one million?

  6. Best-case scenario, how pliable is unit profit? Does it have magnitude?


THE FIVE FASTLANE COMMANDMENTS:


Thou shalt not invest in a needless business.

Thou shalt not trade time for money.

Thou shalt not operate on a limited scale.

Thou shalt not relinquish control.

Thou shalt not let a business startup be an event over process.

The core activity of inventors is just taking something and improving or modifying it. Take something old and stale and make it better. Take an underexposed product, make it your own, and reintroduce it into the world. Take something unconventional and make it conventional.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO INVENT THE WHEEL TO GET RICH!


You’ve got a great idea, but someone is already doing it? SO WHAT. Do it better.

Someone else is always already doing it.


Remember : Successful entrepreneurs take existing concepts and make them better. They take poorly met needs and solve them better.

SKIP THE BIG IDEA AND GO FOR THE BIG EXECUTION.


How to Spot ‘Open Roads’:


“I hate…” What do you hate? Solve the hate, and there’s your open road.

“This frustrates me…” What is frustrating? Remove the frustration, and there’s your open road.

“Why is this like this?” Why is it? Remove the “why”, and there’s your open road.

“I wish there was…” What? If you wish, others wish. Make wishes true, there’s your open road.

“They” say that you should partner with people who have complementary skills to you. If I’m a marketing guy, I should partner with a technical guy etc.

While this is a great starting point to find a partner, it’s like marrying the first person you date simply because they have big boobs (LOL).

There are good questions to ask to help you find a partner:

  1. Do you have the same work ethic? Will your partner skate while you burn the midnight oil?

  2. Do you have the same vision? Or will they compete with each other?

  3. Do you want to grow slowly while your partner wants to own the world and do it fast?

  4. Do you want to sell franchises while your partner just wants one unit that pays the bills?

  5. Do you trust this person with your life?

  6. Do you have the same personality type?


What happens when you trust everyone? You get burned.

Your Unique Selling Point (USP) is worthless unless it is conveyed through every aspect of your business: Include your USP on all public communications:

(1) Your trucks, vehicles and buildings

(2) Your advertising and materials

(3) Business cards, letterheads, signs, brochures and flyers.

(4) Your Web site and your email signature

(5) Your voice mail, receptionist/sales scripts.


NUMBER: What is your Number? How much money will you need to live a lifestyle of your choosing? Determine your number, break it down by the penny, and make it real today. Start saving your loose change, open a brokerage account, and put a chart on your office wall that continually monitors your Number's progress. Make your dream lifestyle real by posting photos of that lifestyle in your workplace. For example, if you want a cabin on a mountain creek, find a picture of that vision and put it on your PC so you have to see it every day. Make your visions of the future real and force them into your psyche so you're constantly reminded. If your dream is a Ferrari, but a Ferrari toy model(!) and put it in your car or on your desk. Make those dreams real and inescapable. LOL
